BASIC BIBLICAL BELIEFS

SCRIPTURE
We believe the Scriptures were uniquely, verbally and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and that it was written without         error in the original manuscripts and it is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks
     (2Tim. 3:16-17; 2Pet. 1:19-21).

GOD, THE FATHER
We believe God the Father is the Creator of Heaven and Earth, who by His Word and for His glory, freely and
    supernaturally created the world from nothing (Gen. 1; John 1:1-3; Is. 40:28).

GOD, THE SON
We believe Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, is the eternal Word who was made flesh, supernaturally
    conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary (John 1:1-18; Matt. 1:18-25)

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, was always with God and is God (John 1:1-4).
We believe Jesus Christ is the only Savior for humanity, shedding His blood and dying a substitutionary death
     suffering God’s wrath for the sins of mankind on the cross of Calvary (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Rom. 3:25; 5:6-9;
     Col. 1:20-22)
We believe Jesus Christ rose from the dead in the same body, though glorified, in which He lived and died
     (Acts 2:32; 1Cor. 15:1-4, 12-20; Jn. 20:24-28)

GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity who has come into the world to reveal and glorify Jesus
    Christ and to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment and who regenerates humanity by persuading
     sinners to repent and confess Jesus as Lord (John 3:3-8; 15:26; 16:7-11; 1Cor.12:3;).

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells the believer from the moment of spiritual re-birth and seals the believer until the
     day of redemption; the return of Jesus Christ (Eph. 1:13; 3:16-17)

We believe the fullness of the Holy Spirit, His power and control is appropriated in the believer’s life by faith
     (John 6:63; 16:13; Gal.5:16-25)

THE TRINITY
We believe there is one God; infinite, eternal, almighty, self-existent and unchangeable in His being and perfect in His
     holiness, truth and love.

We believe in the unity of the Godhead existing in three persons that glorify one another in perfect fellowship: God the
     Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit who are co-equal and co-eternal. (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 3:16-17; 28:19;
     2Cor. 13:14)

MAN
We believe God made mankind in His own image as male and female that they might have fellowship with Him
     (Gen. 1:26-27).
We believe mankind sinned against God and in disobeying God was separated from God  bringing mankind under
     divine condemnation and in need of salvation (Rom. 3:23, 5:12,15-19; 6:23; Is. 59:2; John 3:3).
We believe, apart from salvation, mankind is unregenerate and lives under the dominion of sin and Satan therefore
     unable to please God without being born again and renewed by the Holy Spirit (Eph. 2:1-3, 12; John 3:5-7; 6:44, 65;
     Rom. 8:7)

SATAN
We believe Satan is God’s adversary whose purpose is to steal God’s glory and to destroy God’s supreme creation;
     mankind. (Zech. 3:1;
Jn. 10:10; 1Pet. 5:8)

SALVATION
We believe salvation is a gift from God; the spiritual re-birth, and eternal life is received by faith alone in Jesus
    Christ’s death, burial and resurrection and not as a matter of personal efforts (Acts 4:12;Eph. 2:8-10; Jn.1:12;
    Rom.10:9-10; Titus 3:5-7)

 We believe that the Christian life should be a manifestation of living by faith in Jesus Christ and His Word (2Cor. 5:7;
     Heb. 4:12; Ps. 119:105; Prov. 6:23)

THE CHURCH
We believe Jesus Christ is the head and cornerstone of the Church which is His body composed of all who have been
     joined to Him through faith (Eph. 1:22; 2:19-22)

We believe Jesus Christ’s Church is composed solely of those who have been redeemed and washed in His blood and
     regenerated by the Holy Spirit separated from the world to be a testimony to the world of His grace, truth, mercy
     and forgiveness. (Acts 2:41-42; 10:34-35; 1Cor. 6:20; 7:23; 1Pet. 1:17-21)
We believe the Church exist to worship and glorify God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit and to do His will on Earth
     (Eph. 3:21; Matt. 6:10, 33)

We believe the Church, which is the pillar and support of the truth, is to proclaim the truth of God and to manifest the
     wisdom of God in its proclamation and actions (1Tim. 3:15; Eph. 3:10)

We believe God admonishes believers to regularly assemble together for worship,
     for participation in the ordinances of the Church, for edification through the teaching of the Scriptures and for
     mutual encouragement (Heb. 10:24-25; 1Cor. 14:26; Ps. 22:25; Ps. 122:1; 35:18)

JESUS RETURN
We believe Jesus Christ will come again to the earth, personally, visibly and in His resurrected body to establish His
     Kingdom at which time believers will be resurrected to eternal joy with the Lord and unbelievers to condemnation
     and endless, conscious suffering. (Matt. 24:30-31; 25:31-46; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; 1Cor. 15:51-54; 1Thess. 4:16-17;
     1John 3:2)

 BAPTISM
 We believe baptism is intended only for individuals who have professed faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior
     (Acts 2:38)
We believe and practice baptism by immersion in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit as an act of
     obedience and testimony to God, the Church and the world demonstrating one’s symbolic union with Christ in the
     likeness of Christ death, burial, and resurrection depicting ones former life has been put to death and a new life in
     Christ has begun (Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:3-6; 1Cor 6:14;15:4; 2Cor. 5:17).

ETERNAL EXISTENCE
We believe in a bodily resurrection. (2Cor. 4:14)
We believe heaven is the place of eternal existence for those who have been born again and by the Spirit of God through
     their belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ (Jn. 3:3; Rom. 8:1; Rev. 21:1-2; 23-24).
We believe Christ is preparing heaven for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him and will live and dwell with
     Him there forever
We believe hell is a place of eternal and punishment existence shut out from the presence of God after the final
     judgment of sin for those who rejected Jesus Christ (
Rev. 20:14-15; Matt. 25:46; 2Thess. 1:8-9)
